Basic Enderle Barrel Valve Leakdown and Butterfly setting

Basic Set ups for  Enderle (The 8 stack can apply to Hilborn also)


8 Stack:   The smaller the engine the less % of leakdown the larger the more leakdown %

Unblown using Gasoline 8 Stack:  .004” Butterfly gap 10% to 13% leakdown %

Methanol 8 Stack: .002” Butterfly gap 18% to 28% leakdown %

Ethanol 85% or 90% .003” Butterfly gap 15% to 20% leakdown %

Bug, Bird, Buzzard, and Big and Ugly or Upright with Square or K Valve:

Unblown:  Gasoline – .005” Butterfly gap 12% to 15% leakdown %

Unblown: Methanol – .005-.006” Butterfly gap 28% to 34% leakdown %

Unblown: Ethanol – .005-.006” Butterfly gap 18% to 25% leakdown %  (more % for E-98)

Single Butterfly throttle bodies will like .008” gap, sometimes even .010” same leakdown %

Bug, Bird, Buzzard, and Big and Ugly or Upright with Square or K Valve:

Blown Gas & Ethanol to 85% – .010” Butterfly gap  30% to 40% Leakdown%

Blown Methanol and 98% Ethanol .010” Butterfly gap  65% to 75% Leakdown  (I didn’t stutter)

Blown Nitro above 50% – .013” Butterfly gap  75% to  80% Leakdown
