This 8-71 is not front offset- so on a SB Chevy you have to either use the 4" Spacer to raise up the blower 4" 

 or use a MSD Crab Cap distributor  -

  With this setup, we furnish  84891  The Short Distributor     The Crab distributor will NOT  have to be used with a crank trigger  ignition
