2005 6-71 BB Chevy LOW boost setup for Show cars, or for High Compression , Methanol cars that are using the blower to gain an atmospheric advantage over the competition-
Similar to the way the 250 blower is being used.

Not a big boost blower - 6-10 lbs on a BB Chevy
We Call this a 6V Blower because the rotors are the same design as the GM 6V
Complete Blower Setup- for Big Block Chevy Engines 396-427-454- Engines- with Blower Shop 6-71 Blower
Excellent Street- or Power Added for Brackets Not for all out racing
Will make 7-8 lbs boost on a 454 can make more boost, but you have to turn a 6-71 too many RPM to produce boost , so on gas , it can cause heat.

These work well on Marine situations where heat is no issue and you want good torque . If you want more than 9 lbs , recommend a 8-71 setup , or opt for the billet rotor upgrade.
On Methanol, heat is NO problem

You can choose to run without a balancer since the blower belt absorbs the harmonic vibrations. Some engine Builders however insist on a Balancer, so we like to do what they want. Balancers begin at $490 and go up depending on keyway, and if you need crank trigger magnets. Hubs are around $220and up - they are all double keyway.
