This is the 3 AMP version of the Sprintmag with NEO (rare-earth) magnet assembly- Never need re charging  .Output and 32-38 milliamps of current with the red topped 28900A transformer. If you're a PUSH-START Sprint car, or Using an RCD  Starter  you might consider running the 28990 black-topped coil with the Sprint Mag+ and enjoy 42-46 milliamps of current at the sparkplug. If you use a block-mounted starter and crank your engine, it is recommended you stay with the 28900A to ensure easy starting. 

This system is ready to go, outfitted with the small cap, lower drive and Red Top Transformer  , plus a 4' long harness ready to trim-to-fit.

,Proven  "DUNN"  style cross arrangement. The drive now contains a steel female cross welded to the high-strength shaft. We've also included a new steel cross and hardware for the mag.

We also offer a choice of gear. The default gear will be bronze, however, bronze is recommended for roller cams and cast iron for flat tappet cams.

Select your choice of lower drives We have drives for many other engines. If you don't see what you need, call! Your selection of lower drive determines the rotation of the magneto. Other mag drivers, cap/rotor options and severe-duty points available as well as a 4 cylinder version.
